My 2nd Pictorial using the most simple / commonly seen type of eye shadow quad to create a sophisticated smokey look.
Through out this pictorial, the only brush that I used is the blush brush.
The entire eye makeup is solely done up with the sponge tip applicator that comes with the quad.
Swatches of the quad:
Note: The products used / selected was given consideration that this was for an outdoor dinner date. Products used are able to last through humidity and perspiration. Choice of colours are simple and can still "shine-through" amidst low-light conditions (i.e. Candle light Dinner, Party etc..)

Step 1: Prep Your Face
Cleanse your face, apply minimal hydrating serum/moisturizer/makeup base or primer.
Step 2: Apply foundation
Spread foundation evenly across your face.
If using liquid foundation like me, always squeeze/pour out the amount required on the back of your hand (warms up foundation easier to spread), dab your fingers to grab small amount each time to rub and spread across your face.
Note: Some liquid foundation "dry-up"/sets fast, hence not advisable to apply dots of it all over face then spread, coz might be hard to even it out.
If foundation gives a dewy/shiny finish, apply loose powder or lightly pat on compact powder over your face to set/mattify it.
For my case, this Fasio Super Fit & Stay is my only foundation that gives a matte finish, so i'll just need to prevent shine in problem areas on my nose and forehead with mattifying powder.
Step 3: Prep Your Eyes & Fill Your Brows
Apply eye primer on your lids, spread evenly all over entire lids & abit along lower lash line.
While waiting for primer to set, fill in your brows with your favourite Brow Products i.e. Brow Pencil, Brow Gel, or even a suitable shade of eyeshadow.
Step 4: Eyes - Base colour
As shown in the picture, pick the lightest colour (not the sparkly one as that is meant for the last step) in the quad and spread it all over your lids. Blend a small amount of this shade into the inner corner of your eyes to give the eye a "brightened" look.
Step 5: Eyes - Definition Colour
Next, flip the sponge tip over to the clean side and pick up the medium tone colour and spread it from the base of your lashes up towards middle of your lids where your lids naturally has a crease. In my case where my crease is not obvious (I have no crease actually!! =.=), I will usually apply this definition colour until I have only about 1cm of space from below my brows till where the eye shadow is applied.
